Oh dear!!!! 100% is was fully shut?

Happened to me leaving work yesterday, the door hadnt fully closed, even tho it looked closed. Swung open as i left!

I suspect not, the wife shut it but took 2 almighty slams to do it. She ain't got the hang of it lol. The other rear door won't open at all!

@KISSMYAURA
Have you noticed that 2 post was 3 phase?
Think @mick the builder was getting 1 on a single phase ;)

Cheers Phil,
they do do a 240V 50hZ SP its a lot slower, louder and i expect the motors will fry of course, but fooooookin quicker than me n a trolly jack!

The problem is they are mostly above ground cable cross I really don't want that hump..... prefer the trench ones or pure hydrualic but my wallet is not so keen!

Sorted the 2 rear passenger doors, one wouldn't open with interior or exterior handle and t'other would only open with interior handle

Bit of fettling of the assembly behind the external handle push button on both and freed up the central locking mech on the really stubborn one and all sorted :) gotta love cable ties.

Ordered a pack of 30 sheets of silentcoat 2mm sound deadening stuff.

I make it about 14m2 total, hope it's enough. I'm not gonna be covering everything, I don't think you need to.

I'd prefer lizardskin as @bankz5152 has been using but I can't stretch to a compressor yet.

Plan is to use the silentcoat, then some 6mm closed cell foam then the carpets and rubber mats on top. I think most the benefit will come from doing the roof and doors

Will the foam be ok on the floor or just line the doors, roof and seatboxes? I'd have thought it'd be alright on floor as long as you've got carpet or something over it.

Bit of sound deadening done. Had enough to do front seat box, doors and flat section of footwells. I just put a pad on each flat surface, did seat box internally. Also c9vered any holes that were missing grommets lol.

Doors sound much better when you close them, it's less crashy and rattly when driving as well.
Sound app on phone shows 3-4 decibels less so quite pleased :)

I'll invest in a load more to do rear of cab and roof then see how it goes, maybe get some closed cell foam as well.

Do you think that the foam would cope with being moulded round the wheel tubs on a Disco?

Was going to just do the good old builders flashband trick and a heat gun to deaden the drumming on them as I know that it would form round the tub easy enough.
