Yes, I'll vote for the Milwaukee impact wrench. A bit dear on this side of the Atlantic, but over the last eight months it has shifted nuts and bolts which would be too stiff to do by hand. Because it's a hammer action it shifts things like the nuts on the ends of radius arms which just twist like a torsion bar when you try to do them by hand with a breaker bar. 610 Nm will either shift or snap most things so you have to be careful with it.

You can get those specific torque extensions now to stop things being over tightened or snapped,as the stick limits the amount of torque applied.

A small 4 piece set of hook things.... 1 is a straight point 1 is rounded 1 is at a 90 degree angle and 1 is at a 45 degree angle

The best use is breaking into houses lol to help people who are locked out of course :)

Makita drill set, 2 boxes full of all the bits you'd need,

Except a hammer doesnt come with it lol,

2nd best was a Dewalt multi tool set, also had everything but a hammer, but no drill !

Probably a mini wire brush I've got that fits perfectly into the sliders on brake calipers, seeing as I service a lot of cars these make the job so much easier only costs like £3 but makes a difference welder or shot blaster would be up there but for value this little brush tips it

On the subject of tools,

Whats the best battery impact gun for removing those olo old bolts from an old old landy?

I here snap on are best.

Also consider a set of the McAllister nut socket things... they are very good for removing rounded nuts and bolts

Each to there own. Me it would be a Milwaukee. What is the torque on the snap-on?

milwaulkee is 610nm the snapon is just shy of 700 i think
mate has the snapon 1 he tried my wilwaukke and said hardly able to tell the difference between um.

With the Milwaukee, I find a freshly charged battery works best for items like well rusted large nylock nuts of the kind you get on Land Rover suspension. The hammer blows are just a little bit sharper and will make progress against high resistance. It'll spin off most other things with less charge but for rusty M16s and M20s there's nothing quite like a battery fresh off the charger.

For me it has to be my humble leatherman charge,

it goes with me everywhere when im out in the landy and has fulfilled so many roles. That and a fuggin Big Hammer :D
