Need to press out my 'A' frame ball joint and by the looks of it it's tight, had some heat on it and whacked it but going to have to press it out.

Vice does most pressing jobs but I think this may be a little beyond its capabilities and may well break it.

Been looking at garage presses but which one, don't want to be paying too much as it will not be used often but what pressure will I need?

Will a 10 tonne hydraulic press be enough??

I just used busters thread and did it my garage without a press I heated the housing up and just hit it. Did take a while though.

Only done a few, always by clamping the frame in a big vice, heating red hot with a torch, and then bashing it out with a sledgehammer

As Gems said, if youre only doing it once, it might be worth contracting out. Instead of a garage, I would try an agricultural machinery place, they usually are good at this sort of job.
