Beam torque wrench?

I'm doing my timing belt and understand i need a dial gauge or beam torque wrench to rotate the tensioner bracket so i can then secure the nut in place.

The only ones i can find online go up to 9Nm or 300Nm, neither are appropriate for a 15Nm application.

So what do you guys use? A click torque wrench will lose its torque once it clicks?

I bought the Draper one that goes to 150 ft/lbs and that worked ok for me. As you say, the standard click type do not work for that application.

click one works it doesnt lose anything after the click

I used the click type on mine. Just hold it very steadily once you’ve achieved the click.

I use a breaker bar and twang the belt knowingly.

I use the Draper one as well with no problems

Torque bar is less than £20 delivered off amazone or eblag.

If you could turn the old ford pinto timing belt 90 degree's at the largest gap between cogs it was pretty much tight enough. Personally I'd not be too fussy, i''d go for a steady hand on a click type torque wrench as previous replies.
