Anyone got any pointers as to what to go for? I have seen 12v, 18v and 24v versions. I want 1/2" drive. But looking on eBay they seem to go for silly money. Snap-on are going second hand for circa £170+. even then they look like they have been run over by a bus. Other makes and models? Clarke? Etc.
What's you thoughts - or are any if you prepared to swap a buggered Snap-on for me  with yo rep :p.

ive tried a few but the snap on 18v is the best upto now undoes crank nuts radius arm nuts etc,but you want later slide on battery not push on as they keep falling off under load, clark and others were poor in comparison but brands like ingersol etc should be good

i paid over £400 new for both of mine but come with 2 batteries if you have difficult stuff to do invaluble but not a lot of point getting 1/2 if wont undo wheel nuts ,out put flange nuts crank nut etc as it these things were you otherwise have to hold with a bar if using breaker bar i also have numerous 1/2 inch snap on air guns but never use them since ive had battery guns over the last few years as they cant touch the battery guns in power

I got an 18v 1/2inch snap on job off ebay a few months back, cost about £140 with case, charger and 1 battery but its the old style with a clip-up battery.

No problems with the battery dropping out yet but it was basically brand new, no marks/dirt on it and had only been used twice...the woman didn't know what she was selling or how to advertise it properly :D:D:D

Having had one, i would never be without it. Crank pulley nuts etc all come off instantly so well worth the money

Wot do yu think of eBay item 200605651589?
I know it isnt brand named .... But 320nM!! I think the snapon is 250????

I've got a snap on one can't remember what the torque is but ive not found anything it won't undo, and my 1/2 air gone hardly ever comes out of my tool box any more, one of the best tools i ever bought, was £350 + VAT on special though

Try to go for a gun with the high voltage battery, as it gives the biggest 'grunt' when working, and thats what your buying it for, isn't it.

I've got a Snap On one. Only bought it last week.

My tip is, go down to your local mechanic, see if he has any spare he's willing to sell and you'll get one for a lot cheaper than the prices you have said.

I'd double my money if I sold ya my Snap On for £120. ;)
