It may cure the current problem but honestly that tickover is too high and every time you put the car in drive or reverse there's going to be quite a thump and you'll find that the car will want to move strongly on tickover.

thanks a lot dave for your honesty...it certainly does looks like it cured the problem but on long term i dunno what will be effected...fuel consumption will be effected thats in hand already...

I Have recently bought the numax 1000 MCA battery and recommend it highly. No more cold starting problems, and for seventy quid delivered the next day form Tayna batteries, i'm well chuffed.

I bought the same battery for my wife's TDi 300. I had a Numax previously that I was very disappointed with so as soon as I received the 1000mca one I charged it up to give it the very best chance and I find it just pants. I don't believe it is delivering anywhere near 1000mca.

got a numax transit battery for my 110 and have had no problems, think its only a 750cca but managed to start at -8 when i forgot to warm the plugs too.

only problem with it is the connections are the wrong way round so the battery had to be fitted differently but for around a £50 saving against the lr fitting I wasnt too bothered
