Fuel came to £485 (could have been a lot less but there where a lot of fill ups on mway service)

2020 miles works out at roughly 26 - 27mpg. Not bad for a loaded 110!

The Bearmach fridge once properly spaced off the seat worked brilliantly with the split charge system. Always had cold beer even in 35c heat! Which brings me to a new porject. Going to make a fridge slide that will sit on the rear seats.

Ill get some pics up in the coming days.

Got more but its a nice start! Such a brilliant trip.

So winters coming always means a few upgrades :)

First one headlights, what to people think of the look of these on mine? Saw them on my mates DC and looked pretty cool but undecided....

Second now the 110 is going to be spending more time outside im thinking of one of thise chinese derv/aux heaters so I can warm her up remotely! Worth a punt for £100...

Ordered a set! £60 aint bad for a pair. Should see me through winter at least...

Also picked up a chinese derv heater with a remote, £115 again cheap. Should give a toasty car in the mornings and Ill rig up a hose to use while camping as well.

Not going to tap into the TD5 fuel system as I dont fancy that... So plan is to fit a small fuel tank in the rear tub. Likely an ali one buy got to measure up and pick a spot.

I’ve been looking at these lights also out of interest where did you both buy them from ?

Also post plenty pics of the new heater install n where u purchased as I’m thinking it’s a good idea to warm the Landy up before winter shoot days

Both off ebay.

Of course. Will be a few weeks before I can install it though!

when you align, (wall and chalk etc) they will kick up to the RHS (not good) no matter what the box tells you they are not RHD !
So just dial em down, especially the O/S else you will get bored of being flashed cos everyone thinks you are on full beam( which bythe way is exactly the same as dipped just kicked up and ahead lol)
Always enjoy a bit of fog, its good to have white lasers you will look like a toyah video coming over the hill!

Finally got round to some maintenance post Land Rover Party.

Front hub was removed and CV filled with proper CV grease. Also filled with One Shot + a new swivel seal.

All came apart nice and easy. Went back together easy too. Getting quite quick at doing these :p:D

Also swapped the TX box output seal as its been weeping for a while and made a discovery....

Looks like the torque has been bending the bolts sideways over the past year or so  Luckily I had a spare set! So replaced along with a new seal. Hopefully no more leaks!

Clutch Master changed AGAIN for a new TRW unit. Bled through again hopefully this one lasts....:rolleyes:

Finally new LED headlights, been on the fence about them for a few weeks but I really like them!

Much brighter, much better spread and much more clear light. Think I adjusted them pretty well, no one flashed me at leased. That said I think they may be a little high.

Didnt have a chance to wire in the side DRLs but ran the cable so will be easy when i get some time.

What grade are your bolts to deform like that are they 8.8? Might be worth going for higher grade 10.9

Headlights look great in fact the whole Land Rover looks great compared to how it looked 3 years ago.

I dont know tbh. They are what ever bolts come on it from Syncro gearboxes. Ive since replaced with oem bolts which I noticed haved are set screws which are thicker before the thread so should be better!!

Thanks! I wasnt sure about the headlights but yeah I really like them too. Plus nice being able to see down these dark country lanes!!

Thank you! Almost a year of planning and careful building. Didnt want to go over the top and end up with an apocolypse truck. I think its just right, anymore and it would be OTT.

Have been considering rear window grills as often have ton bags on the tub, to protect the window but think it may be OTT

Make your own rear window protector. You can make how you want, so it’s not OTT, mount it to the roll cage so it’s solid. You could even use it as a lashing point for any loads that need it.

Good and bad news today....

Finally found the source of the whining noise!

Pinion bearing on the front diff is gone masses of play in it now. Not bad for a a diff that came out my old 90!

Been waiting for it so had most the cash ready to get a new pegged Ashcroft ATB from Nige at Xcess4x4.

Bad news the damn price :eek:

Always busy on the landy! Started fitting the China derv heater today. Bench tested before fitting and its impressive! Really pleased for £100!

Bit of an ass to install and some fab work required but almost done!

Started with making a cage for the fuel tank to protect it from debris when off road. 2mm mild steel.

Sight gauge and cut out for fuel line added

Of course Buzzweld CIO for paint. Mounted after tabs fitted.
20191026_160651.jpg

Mounted the heater itself under the rear passenger side seat. Its all very tight together.

Fuel pump and filter in. Exhaust and air intake. Need to make up a plate to protect it from slop.

Got to wire it up tomorrow! So far happy days.
