Be happy it's not a D1, the chassis mounts are part of the tubular chassis crossmember and you can't remove them, I cut through mine with a 1mm slitting disc and happy days.

It's not a terrible job unless it doesn't play nicely then it's a proper PITA!

As said, my bracket bolts just popped out......LOL.:p:p

Good job jobbed there me old china. Not nice to do when a PITA , but nice to get the job done.

Cheers

Took me 2 hours on my 90! I though yeah this wont take long, few hours then a nice pub lunch in the sun! 2 days later and it was a pub dinner :D:D lol

Glad its done though! Fair bit of the tranny slop/backlash is gone now so thats good!

Finally got around to getting the A/C looked at properly. Apparently no leaks... held vacuum so all good there. Got UV dye in it so shall keep an eye on for thr next couple weeks. Hopefully it holds.

Regassed and working well. Compressor clutch kicks in now so that is good!

The fan on the AC condensor doesnt spin though? Should it? Its no seized and does work when tested on the Nanocom.

New CB fitted. Got sick of the old one so nice new Maxon CM70 installed inside the cubby for ease.

Been bored so decided to make some seat risers/leg room extenders

Only had one bit but thought id try it out before I bought some more sq section. Came out pretty well! I havnt infact got almost too much leg room, properly have to reach for the gear stick :D

Moves the whole seat back around 1" and raises it up 30mm, not too noticeable but loads of room!

So ive ordered two lengths of 600mm 30x30x2mm sq section, some nice 16mm M8 socket heads and some end caps - Undecided if I want end caps ot the 45 degree cut I did in the pic above. Will extend them a little so the bolts have some more meat around them.

Not bad i think! Should only cost me around £12 and an hour of my time. Not £150 from Exmoor:rolleyes:

Ill spray em up in CIO when ive made the proper ones.

Yeah I've ordered some to see! I quite like the look of the 45 but the endcaps may look better.

Fit endcaps to the 45?

Get a scalpel set from Hobby craft & and a pack of plasters depending on your beer intake or general 'oaf index'
I myself have an oaf index of 4 oddly cider seems to triple it....o_O;)

PS how about a box sec 'U' shape sleeve in plaaarstic or meytal?

Decent idea that! Roughly the same oaf index :p

"PS how about a box sec 'U' shape sleeve in plaaarstic or meytal?" What do you mean by this?

Sorry still enjoying my BH and a bottle of aspalls!

So instead of square box section get a bit slightly bigger but 'U' so it will slide over the box sec you have in situ, weld a metal end to it polish and voila no caps smooth and sleek, just a thought........ like this pic

OR Could always weld on end to your square box sec and drill hole in top or the side under seat and fit a round rubber bung etc

i seem to be obsessed with hiding access fixing holes at the mo, must the kitchen i have just fitted at home....
