So José came back today to retune the 110 and fit the uprated MAP sensor.

Needless to say it bloody shifts now! So much better!

Turns out I had a tiny boost leak where the boost gauge meets the inlet manifold, causing the stutering at max revs, that and the boostbox was playing up a little.

MAF sensor is also a culprit, while new(ish) and running fine it freaks out with the high boost running, so unplugged for now. I may look into a MAF "boost box" in the future which allows adjustment of MAF, its running properly and happily now anyway :D

Very pleased indeed!

Seeing as the 110s performance is now "done" for the foreseeable future - Not sure what else can be done at this point without wrecking reliability and MPG - it deserved a new go faster sticker!

And hit exactly 97,000 miles!

Next bit I want to get on with is fitting the Raptor dash + associated switches, double din head unit and the rear 6x9 speakers + amp. Though as cash flow is low atm it will have to wait!

In the mean time I'll get some videos up when I get a chance

I've been watching and reading this thread for while, and I like your exploits!! looks a lot of fun too.:)
Good on you for getting stuck in with most of your own repairs too

That diff was sure kaput - seen worse tho:rolleyes: - given it owes you nowt, have a think about stripping it down to learn a bit about them if you CBA....;)

Thanks :) Ill do as much as I can and not afraid to try a new job myself! Just somethings like braided lines arnt worth the headache to me! I do love getting stuck in to jobs, the more you learn n all that!

I did consider it but a set of new gears is £250+, 2nd had diff is £50 so you know lol. Plus every gear is badly damaged, and the carrier for the planetary gears! Only good bit is the outer casing

Sorry - didn't mean that you should rebuild the diff - just strip it to learn a little bit if you could be bothered - you can even claim the damage as all your own work :D:D:D

Agree that it's not worth the cost of the parts.... though I thought things were dearer down south - diffs seem to be about £80 up here o_O

Thinking of tarting up my rocker cover a bit, was thinking the obvious and clean it properly with some wire wool, polish it so its shiny (might be a bit gash though?) or try and get the brushed aluminium look either by hydro dipping or manually with sandpaper.

For no other reason than it may look nice and its something to do! Any suggestions?

True! Though the really isnt much rust to worry about. Far as i can tell the chassis is solid as are the outriggers and xmembers.

Only slight cause for concern is the main bulkhead! Touches of rust peeling thru the paint at the corners near the vents. Looks ok for now but i expect a replacment/repairs may be needed in the next 5 years.

Decided to just give the rocker a good clean, came out really well!

Just some plus gas and some scotchbrite type sanding foam.

Also wrapped every A/C pipe in pipe insulation and foil tape, the A/C pips now no longer rest on the red hot coolant hose! and the rest are better insulated, the difference is quite dramatic. Even though I need the A/C re-gassed it is actually cold now. Worth doing for £2.50 in hose and £3 for the tape!

Been running without the acoustic cover as well as it makes no discernible difference except the engine warms up a little bit quicker, so I may refit for the winter months.

A/C is re-gassed! Annnnd it is ICE COLD!

Went for a 40min drive after, make sure the engine was good n warm. Still ice cold AC!

Insulating the pipes has gone a long way to helping this.

Not sure why everyone says the A/C is crap :rolleyes::p

Email 10 sent to Safety Devices in the hope they can fit me in sometime this year!

Reason? Considerably cheaper than anyone else in the UK I have spoken to. Been given quotes ranging from £2,500 to £5,500 :eek::eek:o_Oo_O
