Doh sorry guys forget my last post just worked it all out, so many different names and getting

so basicly the ones sold by adventure 4x4 are the same as the paddocks ones, britpart prop's with ( said ) Bailey and Morris uj's but not as good quality prop's as the likes of Bailey and Morris / GKN / Hardy Spicer made for Gwyn lewis :)

so now looking at buying from Gwyn lewis now :D

We got there in the end tho

Just been looking at some of my silverdale pic's and there is deffo more articulation with the front axle than there is with the rear axle so i am half thinking my std Britpart rear prop is help stopping the rear axle from articulating properly :(

Sorry here are the pic's

So really i have either got a bad Britpart prop seeing as i have had loads of Britpart prop's in the past ok mainly for series trucks but never had a problem with any of them before or my Terrafirma + 2" lift is just too much for a std Britpart prop so hopefully wide angle prop's should do the trick :D

wish payday would hurry up :D

Just ordered a rear wide angle propshaft from JGS as i couldn't run to the Gwyn Lewis one's but will order a matching front prop aswell from JGS next payday :)

I tend to think of propshafts as one of those wear items that needs replacing once in a while like the fan belt. I have a couple of spares in the shed and I've replaced their bearings so they can go straight in when my existing ones get loose. When I bought my Land Rover the dealer fitted a brand new Britpart rear prop to cure a vibration, and the joints on that lasted about 15 months. If the slider is more or less OK I just replace the spiders which is much more affordable. You can enjoy the superior quality of GKN or Hardy Spicer in a budget Britpart carcass. A bit like eating caviar with a plastic spoon.

Yeah tbh when i had my series trucks i always replaced the props every 18 months or so as they ( Britpart ) ones was cheap as chips and pretty good aswell but they are a lot dearer for defender's so with this problem arrising i will fit better props for what i am doing and keep them well serviced as i did with all my other props :)

I put one of Gwyn's on the back of my 110, its just better, no ifs or buts, built like a brick outhouse and solid as a rock.
dear, oh boy yes, but you get what you pay for.

Yep, put a Gwyn hd built one on back of my 90 last week it's just good quality UJs and well built. The sliding joint has 11cm of travel wich is what I liked about it as mine is on extreme articulation most weekends playing about!

Fitted a wide angle front on mine a couple o weeks ago,its a Britpart from adventure 4x4.I'll keep an eye on it.Hope I hav'nt wasted my money.

Woody ive still got one of those on front of mine, had it one about a year now as think I've put one UJ in it, front is alright as it doesnt get all the extreme travel the back gets.
Just grease it monthly as a rule and hope for the best.

I have found mine the same, front got killed quickly but my fronts still ok.

Hi all. Just wanted to say I'm running Bailey Morris props on a 2" lift and running approx 186bhp and no problem in 3 years. So they get the thumbs up from me. 👍👍👍👍
