Hi, I have owned my Discovery 3 for about 12 months and, since purchasing it, have been having the same issues. About 3 to 4 times a month, when I start it, the engine runs but the tachometer stays at zero, the transmission goes into limp mode and when I scan it for codes, I get a steering angle sensor fault. I turn the engine off and restart and everything is fine apart from the cel on, until next time.
Any thoughts?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have had the battery load tested and it is OK. The problem can occur anytime. I can start it up and drive for a while, turn it off while I go into a shop, for example, restart the car and the fault occurs. Other times, I can go for a whole month with no fault.
