I`ve just done a 3" lift on my Disco using 4 bottle jacks, what size tyres shall i fit?
what a waste of money, 4 jacks??? all you needed to do is what most seasoned off roaders do, use 1 jack to jack each corner to it highest point then weld the shock absorber up and move to the next corner and so on. disco lifted 3 inch and still able to use jack for other fings

I thought of that then thought a better way would be to jack it up then drill through the shocks and stick a nail in, never been much good at welding!

that`d work a treat, you could even drill several holes for different hieght settings. im off out to do that to mine now cheers SASBOB
 
i wouldnt take that bunch of your mates as proof of your usefulness or popularity on here ,at least i helped someone during the discussion on another thread
