Hi Guy's, can someone give me an idea on the fault code : B1B33-87 (Target identification transfer) as my motor wont start & is coming up with this fault code.

Many thanks in advance

Have copied over the OP thread to try and keep it in one place

ASH_, post: 4750147, member: 134695"]Hi Guy's, I did an ABS sensor yesterday on my 2011 l322 (turns out its the ABS ring (which ive ordered).

Anyway, while I was working, I was opening & shutting the door as my phone & vape was in there..

Upon building everything back up, I jumped in to start it and when I press the start button, I get the LCD screen coming on & then going off.

I just assumed that id flattened the battery, so I connected some jump leads & tried to start it but still the same problem.

Ive plugged it in this morning & amongst others, ice getting fault code: B1B33-87

Full list of diagnostic codes can be found here:

but please bare in mind that I know about the ABS faults.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction as this is doing my head in now.

Many thanks in advance

Also see there’s a column lock authorisation error ??

B100D 64
B100D 67

other code B1B33-87

Wondering how the jump leads were connected

wonder as the battery went flat if the transponder has lost its sync

I can't get the engine to run, Im going to order a new battery tomorrow & see if that makes any difference

Fingers crossed I should get it running

Make sure you order the biggest battery that will fit, do not be misled by the likes of Halfrauds who will often recommend an undersized battery.

Plus 1

had to go down to halfords the other day but had done my homework before hand and get new battery as my other one decided it would go flat after just a few days

got a bigger battery , a yuasa ybx 019 wet cell battery , 5 x years warranty , only had around 20mm to spare , couldn’t fit an AGM because of the high alternator output

Previous battery I bought offline , but wanted to be able to collect it this time so alot easier to change if there’s ever any problems

Fitted a new battery & still the same..

Anyone got any ideas?

hiya

did u use diagnostics to tell the system a new battery had been fitted , I’ll double check for u if that’s req

may i ask is the diagnostics ur own , if so have u plugged it back in, cleared the faults and the see what comes back plse

thks

ps, has the ABS issue been fixed

Hi & thanks for the reply, Yes, ive programmed the car to tell it that a new battery has been fitted.

Im using JLR SDD & still getting the same fault code up

cheers

hi

always a pleasure to help, alas don’t know how much help I’ll be but can certainly try

1) did u do anything with the steering wheel after changing the battery

just trying to go through things step by step to see if we can pin it down

2) have u cleared all the codes , if so do all of them come back up

3) has the ABS issue been fixed

Yes, tried to clear the fault codes, but the same codes come up.

I will replace the ABS ring tomorrow & clear the faults regarding the ABS..

Now one thing thats playing on my mind is that when I press the start button, the dash shows me the (press the brake peddle to start), now does that take its signal from the brake peddle switch or the ABS? because im thinking that if it takes its signal from the ABS, thats where my fault can be..

HMMM I wonder.

I will post back, once ive done the ABS ring

Thanks

Battery changed, ABS sensor & Ring changed & still the same..

SDD Recommendation is that I need to reconfigure the KVM but my SDD is an old version & the software won't run

ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! ... F**King thing.. lol
