the easiest way for you to tell is to remove the diffs and count the teeth on each one.failing that ring the tech dept at landrover and ask them the diff ratios for each model.

according to this chart all dfefenders from 83 onwards have a 3.54-1 diff ratio so going off that then yes its just a straight swap, axle for axle, just bear in mind that you may end up with drum brakes instead of disc, depending on what you currently have

The axles are the same (they are ALL disc braked) and the ratios are the same but why are you changing it?
If you just want to change the casing then retain your old diff/halfshafts and fit them into the 'new' casing and if you want to replace the diff then why not retain the existing casing and just swop the diff or is it a case of the diff is shot and the casing rotten?
The only possible difference between the two may be that the 110 is fitted with a 4-pinion diff and 24-spline halfshafts, if this is the case then the diffs will still swop but you need to take the halfshafts with them.
