Aux input on a L322 - 2002 Vogue

You can upgrade your BM54 amp to support an Aux connection that way you do not have to lose the CD changer.
I'll dig out the details if you want to pursue this route.

The X5 boys use this cable. Remove your screen and follow the loom back about a foot and you should find a socket. Plug this lead in and away you go.

Another thing to look at is the Intravee, again very popular with the X5 boys but Ive not researched anyone fitting to the L322 but seeing as the X and L are only a couple of genes away from being twins, its safe to assume this will work.

Did you fit one of these cables in the end? I've just ordered one for mine I was wondering if it was any good?

Pete

When you are fitting this cable will you do a step by step guide for the forum?

Also please keep us posted on the quality of the cable and any issues if any?

Cheers.

A quick answer for the ipod is a cassette adapter for the Vogue, mine works OK, sound quality is OK and at least I dont have to cart around CD's. But I was interested in the lead Rewmer has mentioned so I'll look into that.

Gone for the cassette adapter for now and have hidden the wiring away tucked neatly between the gaps in the dash...

For now, till I have time to research the best option....😀

does your cd player not play mp3 discs? mine does i can get between 175-200 tracks per disc(well wifey can) so around 1000 tracks on 6 discs,so do you realy need to mess about with the ipod connection?

Did you manage to get the lead then?

Hi all,
got the lead, however this seems to rely on the head unit(?) being post 10/02, in that these have a AUX setting, which I can't seem to see on mine. Interestingly the CD changer has a similar lead ( mines been playing up so long I've just removed it so both the 6 and 3 lead plug are available). When I tried to connect to the 3 lead plug I got nothing so am not sure if this would be correct anyway. On the list is a replacement of the Dash LCD so this will allow me to look further up the loom and see if there is the connection rewmer mentioned, but I'm not hopeful as I think this car is too early. The DSP system seems to be a problem with matching the system to aftermarket audio. If anyone has a painless solution to this please share.

Nice....does the bm54 come with bluetooth then?

no but my bm54 failed so I replaced it with a modified bluetooth version which are now available for £250 ish, allows streaming of ipod/phone etc etc with excellent sound quality unlike aux cable.you can also select tuner/tape/cd/aux without disconnecting anything;)also I modded my bm54 so the plug is opposite way around (plug downwards) & higher to stop water contamination which fried my old unit:eek:
