P38A Attaching side steps

My mom is visiting and she is struggling to get in and out of the P38. I have a set of side steps so think I might put them on while she is here and just want to get this right. Will ordinary bolts and nylocks suffice to hold the side steps in place or do I need something fancy? I looked at LRCat and there are no bolts shown.

There should be captive nuts already in the backside of the cill if I remember. If your lucky someone may have put bolts in them.

They are not big bolts. Can’t remember anymore. In fact they may have even been the L322. Best stick your head under and have a butchers.

M8 bolts in to the chassis , I ran a tap in first just to clean out the thread
