Didnt go to Witters.

I took your advice on board, and sat and thought. I then made an executive decision to ignore your advice totally, and go to Witters.

I forgot.

I do not believe for one second EVERYONE with a Disco has an original towbar.
Arse.

I Thinks Your Going Have To Do Abit Of Welding Lenny Old Chap I Have Been To Beam Ends To Pick Up Some Bits Today And Ask Them About The Towbar The One You Have Is The Only One They Have Seen

The bit it bolts onto is called the rear cross member - I'd just replace that as its structural and will be a mot fail if its rotten. Horrid job as it involves welding the boot floor pan back on. It will also be spot welded to mount the rear quarter panels on. These can either be rewelded or be bolted [use high tensile 10mm set screws].

aye its true. i towed a trailer the other day with about 5 tons of bricks on it.
nowt fell off the disco.

the trailer is a funny banana shape now though.

I shall have you know, much to the annoyance of **** taking banter, my towbar is not only tight, but is also completely re-bolted in all directions.

You wouldnt believe the story of today, just in the bath and i shall post what happened.

Some people will steal anything...................................
