Anyone know what this plug is for?

I've been fiddling around by the final stage resistor this morning unplugging it to try and cure a pants case of battery drain. While I was down there I noticed there was a big plug above the pedals which isn't connected to anything.....

cant recall seeing that connector or a loose connector when changing the resistor on my motor

pretty sure it should be plugged into something though. is your steering column adjustment working ? it could be something off that ?

there is one of these in the O/S rear, so this is a generic plag.

There must be some things not working in your RR??

Everything seems to be working as it should? Well apart from the rediclous battery drain that I'm trying to find.

Maybe my car had a phone kit fitted previously and it's been removed by the last owner and replaced with a ****ty parrot.

I've had a quick look at this plug. It looks as though it has brown and red power wires, some green and blue wires which could be speaker wires and the black 'ribbon' cable could be d2b data ie control wires. I suspect that this could from the stereo head unit and has fallen down around the steering column. It's only a guess though?

Cheers for that ill have to have a look and see. I don't think it will be from the head unit though as that's just a screen. All the real brains are on the boot behind the left panel.

If it's got speaker wires and power I'm still thinking it's probably some sort of phone kit. I might have a look for the components on eBay etc and see it the pics show this plug at all.
