Anyone in leicester with a nanocom please

Have done it often. You can disable EKA and immobilisation with a Nanocom in BECM diagnostic mode when engine immobilised is messaged, which would normally need EKA input to clear.. But seeing as you don't have a Nanocom i don't know how you can comment on what it does or does not do.
Faultmate firmware is much the same as Nanocom.

I think you are confused. If the dash is asking for EKA, you cannot turn EKA off with diagnostics, the two functions are mutually exclusive.

I will say this once more so you understand, IF YOU HAVE ENGINE DISABLED MESSAGED WHICH NEEDS THE EKA CODE TO CLEAR YOU CAN DISABLE BOTH EKA CODE AND IMMOBILISER IN BECM DIAGNOSTIC MODE WITH A NANOCOM. End of story.

right. i got the right eka code from land rover now.
still dont work.
door panel of seems all fine in there.
driver seat out. becm looks like is in there since the dark ages.

what i also noticed. i can unlock from the inside the passenger door. while playing with the button pressing up and down some surring noise is there.
the same on the rear driver door.
on the rear passenger door is not.
i also can not unlock or open this door. biut all the others. apart from the tankflap. that is not working either.

i wonder when all started, the window on that door came down on his own and i had to shut it with the button.

i have non reaction on this rear passenger door whatsoever by trying to lift the lock button.

also when i had to set the windows and sunroof after recharging the batterie yesterday before i started with the eka, this window is not one of the displayed one to set.
but it works.
if that door has a fault can that be the problem on the whole thing not to accepting the code or imobilised the vehicle and dont let me open it ?

  • Do the door latch switch checks according to the PDF that Brian posted earlier in this thread. These MUST all work to allow entering the EKA.
    • If all the switches pass testing, but EKA doesn't work, either BECM has been changed or is corrupt.
  • Tank Flap is opened by button in Instrument Cluster. Should work if car is unlocked.
  • Left & Right front doors usually both trigger the central locking for other doors. (unless the microswitches are faulty)
  • All doors should individually unlock manually from the button. If not you have bigger problems.

Tyke go to here https://www.nanocom-diagnostics.com/ click on emulator and look through it to familiarise yourself. Goto P38 > EDC > then click right hand green arrow until you see BECM. Click on BECM, then settings, then Alarm. Top of first page is immobiliser that will need setting disabled. Click on right hand green arrow until you see EKA that will need setting disabled. You can't do anything on emulator but will be able to when plugged into car. To put BECM into diagnostic mode Leave ignition OFF. Plug Nanocom in wait until it loads then goto BECM as above. After a few seconds dash message will read Diagnostic mode. Follow above then when immobiliser and EKA have been set disabled, go back one page by pressing red cross and select write settings. wait for Nanocom to do it's thing. Switch Nanocom off. Switch ignition on message should go and car will start. DO NOT start car with Nanocom on. Always switch it off before operating starter. You can switch it back on for system checks when engine is running.

Thank you. I will.
In the meantime.i got access to them door switch pack cable loom.

Looking rave pictures and what i have. Different.

Looks.like something was already bodged with a black wire. Unless I missing this in rave amd it should be there ?

That's not a bodge, you have the older type door latch with two plugs, the black wire is a ground. Were the plugs retained in the door frame? They are known to get caught in the window mechanism as @RangeRoller dt found out.

yes they been properly attached. no wire damaged inside the door at all.
that was my only concern someone may already bodged it.

nope. i dont have an ohm meter. i get one tomorrow if the nanocom dont come beforehand. that should tell me faulty switches too.

sorry i never ever used one of them and have not a cue what im doing with an ohm meter. lol.
its like welding. i wouldnt have the slightes idea how to. i may would blow something up with it.

all we figured out so far i had the wrong eka. which is sorted. ( well if its still the right becm in there )
the other thing we know for sure - the door dos not accept any clockwise turn apart from unlocking the driver door and boot.
there is nothing it dos. no noise no surring nothing.
usual the indicators flash when locking and unlocking. the flash when locking but not unlocking.
