Anyone fitted front bumper number plate light mount bars like this...

I quite fancy one and wondered if anyone has fitted one to a facelift FL1? If so, are they any good? is the FL1 facelift bumper rigid enough, does it fit okay, etc etc.

I reckon it will fit and be stable enough with a pair of lightweight stainless spots/fogs. I also reckon it is non approved, therefore illegal to fit to a vehicle for highway use for the past 10 years. Seller selling as 'Off Road'
You can fit one, and be fine, police do not have the resources to bother with how old a bull bar is, unless you hit a pedestrian, god forbid.

It's a pretty controversial subject and I personally wouldn't fit one to my car. However some thoughts about pedestrian injuries from bars are along the lines of: Hitting a pedestrian with 1800Kgs of car is going to cause serious injuries, regardless of what is mounted to the front of said car.

Here's mine. No problem fitting to a facelift. I drilled and tapped through the bumper into the bumper armature and mounted the bar with 6mm bolts. It is quite sturdy.
Here in Canada there isn't much worry hitting pedestrians but you don't want to hit a moose. You take them out at the knees and they join you through the windscreen.

Pretty much but moose have handles attaches to their heads to help haul them out.
