Any one got rovacom lite?

is there anyone close to blackpoool, that has rovacom lite or faultmate due to a flat battery the code has been lost to engine ecu and needs resetting, i am willing to pay anyone for help.

was gonna buy the faultmate system but had to spend the money on a new boiler!!

Are you sure the code has been lost Stephen ?? What display are you getting on the message display?

I am only thinking this as it followed a flat battery, and has happened before. There are no messages on the display as per the previous times.

I am just gutted i was going to buy the faultmate and boiler packed in, and i honestly cant afford at the moment to have it recovered to dealers.

so i am stuck with a car i cant even start, i suppose while it is in this state though nothing else can go wrong!!

Highly unlikely engine ECU will lose the code everytime the battery goes flat as it's on an Eprom.
Only other place that the immobilisation code is kept is in the BECM and this is logged as the "Lockset Code" which is unique to your car and keyfob.
When you put the key in the ignition switch, an exciter ring around the swith body excites the key fob to transmit it's code to the alarm system and the BECM-if the lockset code (13 digits) matches, the BECM enables the engine ECU to become active and allow the engine to start.
I have known the BECM to become corrupt but it's rare and not an everyday occurence even when the battery is disconnected. When the engine was replaced in my 4.6, the battery was off the car for over 3 weeks and apart from the usual window resets etc. all powered up o.k.
You obviously have a problem but I don't think it's as "Terminal" as you think.

No not got that message YET! i am going to have to bite the bullet and get it recovered to an independant, will just have to find the money somewhere.

one thing i did notice, is that when i put the key in the ignition it flashes 3 times and only used to flash once dont know if this is of any relevance though.

I think you will find that the Independant coming to you will be cheaper than recovery unless you have a good friend with a truck,
