I know we should of moved to a house with a wider drive entrance and yes you probabley all heard me turning the air blue at my own stupid driving

So before the Mrs gets back from work any ideas on a cheapish fix or somewhere I can take it to that wont rip me off? As you can imagine there aint much spare cash at the moment after moving in to the new place 3 weeks ago but I will have to do something!

Thaks peeps!

Hello Sky, your manhood is safe.

Because the panel is made of aluminium it is easy to hand press it back into shape. I think I would be using a couple of pices of flat ally rivetted on the inside to form a 'splint', then get your body filler onto it and smooth it all out. One the filler has gone off, take the splint away and paint the panel.

Thanks for the tip, looks like this Sundays going to be busy then! MOT's up next week!

Thanks again, let you know how I get on.

if you're gonna repair it then you might want to consider low temparature alloy welding rods, you can get them in B&Q and only need a blowtorch to get them to the right heat.

Bloody good idea that!:)

I have strightend it out as best as I can for a wet dark afternoon and covered it in Black (Gaffer) tape so I aint got any sharp bits sticking out But there is a good 1-2" gap at the wisdest you think these rods would cover that?

Thanks

Sky

I doubt you'll bridge a 1" gap with them, maybe get some aluminium sheet and cut some patches.

search out 'durafix'

Still good idea, slightley worried as I'm heating up one end the other might melt again!

Which ever way I decide to fix my stupidness I'll pop a pic up here for you to all laugh at.... I mean admire! :D

Thanks again,

Sky

Greetings once more!

Looks like my manhood is now saved after a cold but bright Sunday...

Heres the before & after thanks to "thebiglad" & "battenberg" for their advise on fixing my rear wing. In the end I poped over to the car shop down the road and used some aluminium mesh and filler.

Not the best finish in the world but think it will now get through mot tommorrow! Dont worry about the tire its being changed for the mot before anyone points out I have covered it in primer :p

Take care,

Sky
