Another series(ous) stripdown

Well had a bit of time off I think most people do that, but found a little more interest so been working on an air filtre couldn't find what I wanted so made one using a bit of guttering for the snorkle not finished yet but getting there. does anyone think I need some sort of drain in the box in case water gets in? the question now is I am thinking of making a roll cage are there certain rules for these? has it got to be inside the butt to be legal or can it go close to the outer as long as it is not out further than the wheels and arches? Thanks for your replies in advance.

the whole idea of a snorkel is to be air tight not letting water in if you put a drain in sort of defeats the reason for a snorkel...... only my op. plenty of threads on roll cages and nice pictures of what peeps have done try a search

Thanks for your reply I wasn't thinking of just drilling a hole more like some sort of rubber tube like the type on the rear of dingies that let water out but cloes to stop water coming in

fit a tap on the bottom below the filter level and empty it once every so often if you really want

odds are you wont need one though…………if moisture gets in there it wont be much just a few drops of rain and that'll evaporate and be sucked into the turbo making no difference what so ever
