the compressor is new.
Take a look through the link I showed and follow it closely, your patience will pay out. Good luck kiddo.
Unfortunately, it's cheap and impatience is Flipping costly....unfortunately i have zero to no patience for this sort of thing.. im going to need it!
Unless its been feeding a leak ,it may need resealing.the compressor is new.
Yip, that's a good comprehensive kit. It takes a while and patience to get it done correctly. One solenoid at a time and carefully does it.
What our Alan said!!Unless its been feeding a leak ,it may need resealing.
Its a good kit, if you do it right, though if the solenoid bases are hardened then new o-rings will not make any real differenceYip, that's a good comprehensive kit. It takes a while and patience to get it done correctly. One senoid at a time and carefully does it.
@kurtjohnson10 does new NRV valves also.
It's only three bolts and pop the lines out.do i need to remove the whole block to replace this part?

Back again...
So, I got a call from the garage today, apparently i need a new valve block, drive box and a compressor... i wont shock you with the price but....
1) ALL THREE...REALLY!
2) The valve block, I guess it isn't just the solenoids that go wrong on these? there is no air leak, but the compressor gets really hot!
3) ALL THREE!!!!!!!!!
4) what else should i be looking at as there is no air leaks under the car either?
5) when I turn the engine off I get that clicking sound,i can only assume that its from the solenoids in the valve block, if so what are they doing?
6) I can get replacement parts/refurb kits on fleabay, does anyone know anyone who has done this?
other than that!
+1,if your not confident PM @kurtjohnson10 for a price.Rebuild the entire block.
If one valve is tired, the others wont be far behind.
I personally would go for Kurt to rebuild it cos then that is it ruled out
Then if still faulty then suspect leaking air line
Would be worth doing the checks you have been advised many times
Process of elimination now.
Yes, so going to buy a working complete unit from fleabay,(with 30 day warranty) and then have mine rebuilt (retired engineer father is looking forward to doing this after he watched youtube videos) using rebuild kit. I'm going to reinstall my original after its done. I will keep other as spare and look to refurb at a future date.
will also be buying another pump, and advised to either replace or refurb air dryer.
Will keep you all updated.
