and yes manual box does use automatic trans. fluid
Thanks, yes and some WD40 to make the low box and diff lock lever work smoothly, found that out at the weekend. It hadn't been used and was stiff at first.

seriously though, search in busters guides, he has done steps for it all with piccies.

gearbox also has an extension plug to undo.
use ATF Dextron 2/3 for the lt77 or mtf94 for r380
Also check your breathers on the axles and box, make sure they work and aren't bunged up.

Last question, I dont intend to change the oil myself, just check it has some
Will it be OK to top them up with the stuff already mentioned. I dont know what is in them at the moment.

That is what confuses some. So they put a M or manual on the label.

me too, you can usually tell what they are after a while, i reckon i can sniff out ep90 at 40 paces.
