hi all i have a small problem my alternator is playing up
its a 1990 defender 90 2.5 n/a am i right in saying the part no is a127 also are they same on any other defender /car cheers

should be the same as td and 200 tdi

Its different. They both fit on the same mountings but the wiring is different. Well, im comparing a TD to a disco 200tdi though...

you can still wire it up in either, just need to add a diferent connector

Luicas A127, 40Amp, 60Amp, 70Amp 100Amp will do you. Its a 40 by standard I think.

You can also get a good auto electrics shop to rebuild them cheap enough.

DOes that work both ways? i couldent get my TD alternator to work on my new engine. Alternator was left in a puddle in the garden for a while though...
