Freelander 1 Alternator to Starter Motor Cable

Hi guys

I'm trying to source the above cable but I'm being told that it's part of the main loom. Not sure how that can be as it's a short cable not connected to anything else as far as I can tell.

Any ideas what it's called, a part number, or what I can use as an alternative (maybe a replacement battery +ve lead)?

Part Number for Engine Harness YSB105710 according to the OTP with Aircon YSB105720 without Aircon. Probably because it linked in with the computer

Hey thanks for the reply. Fortunately it wasn't that part (at £ 900!!) but it put me on the right track so thanks again.

The part I needed was YTA101531 although that's from a Rover 75. LR dealer wanted £ 97 for it but I got the OEM part off a Rover dealer for £ 20.
