I measured my rear today .. almost twice as wide, I take it yours isn't a full cover?

Thats right it just covers the radiator and fuel tank.

Ahh I see, might end up nicking your method and make my own!

hopefully they will stand some hammer and look good. You do realise that Defender eyebrows won't fit, these will have HDPE spats that stick straight out from the wing which will make it easy to scrape the mud out between laps.

Ye, no hurry, will be end of the year before I start.

Mine is going to be a ALRC Cross Country Vehicle. Not as hard core as yours more steady maneuverable but still having a 3.5 tuned EFI V8 under the bonnet. Again will be a Non Road Going car just a mud plugging monster so no lights needed just flexible wings. There will be a thread when I start but got 3 other projects and a few favours to complete first.

Good to see people building new competition motors, I look forward to your build thread. I wouldn't call CCV "steady" some sections are a real test of car and driver.
I see you are in Hertfordshire, which club are you in or which club covers your area, I don't know much about the southern clubs.

He's started beating me, not that that is hard eh stu?

We are Chiltern Vale lrc. Not many ccvs at moment, but it we get more vehicles then we can possibly introduce more events

Ye, what KillaJoules said. Got a 1984 Range Rover to finish first. CCV going to take my time over. Rebuild the engine and gear box. Research all components and build it to last many years.

Then let me trash it

Stu your gonna have to join Anglian for CCV Lots of clubs down this way arw joining together at events running 3 clubs at one venue as numbers have been poor. I can't complain tho as I've not even got my motor done yet so I'm just another non entrant.

Hi Mark

A bit confusing as there are two clubs The original I understand is the the one you mention "The Anglian Rover Owners Club" which was a founder of the ALRC but split when it left the ALRC

The club that stayed in the ALRC is the "Anglian Land Rover Owners Club" !!

These I also understand further split into the CVLRC (ALRC) and BHCLRC (Non ALRC) and probably some others too !!

jai_landrover is in the "Anglian LRC" I believe.

Personally I am not renewing BHCLRC (nor my Yorkshire LROC) memeberships as I am enjoying life in the CVLRC and prefer trialling under the ALRC regs (Although sometimes stupidly claustrophic).

I know a few folk who do trial in the Anglian ROC from CVLRC, and have attended a couple of their trials. They seem a great bunch of people from the folk I have met.

Where are you based roughly. I am in Hemel and found most BHC trials too far away to be bothered with.

What are you trialing in? A disco?

I'm in MK and yea in my disco.

Anglican roc are at Gt. Brickhill at the end of the month. That looks like a good disco friendly site. Drove it last month.

Have you trialed before? If not I recommend you go along and find out what they require for scrutineering.

Most clubs require a fire extinguisher, clear front and rear recovery points and a good rope.

My disco is smaller now so fits in with the 90s n series
The only trail type event I've done is a punch challenge.. came 3rd, that was with BHCLRC at brickhill as it happens, they have thoes requirements too.

Joules it's a bob disco alrc would banish him forever

Still 100 inch tho. Bhclrc or Anglian rover owners or even Awdc you would be welcome to trial with. I was toying with the idea of removing my rear locker and playing with Chiltero vale........ Might just have to do that when's the next trial??

Was to be Weston Underwood, but that has been cancelled due to the weather. So it will be the Feb trial.
