Amazing project. Subscribed.
whats the dimensions of the rear cover your making?
There were a few paranoid stragglers wandering around the turkey sheds near Tring yesterday looking nervously for their missing mates
Mmmmmm Turkey!
Something like this, if you seal one end.yes thats the thing but I want cheaper, just a bellows will do I can make the fittings.
If I can't find cheap bellows I will have to go with hose.
Something like this, if you seal one end.
Classic Mini Steering Rack Gaiter Boot Universal PAIR car austin cooper rover mg | eBay
Or motorcycle steering damper boot, if there is such a thing.
Back with Turkey, We managed to get a fresh bird reduced from £52.00 down to £14.00 happy days. So now a cuppa and back in the workshop.
Im under house arrest til the weekend by order of the mrs and kids and not allowed near the workshop
I must admit trialing isn't really my thing but i am loving this build.
Is that just a custom hand brake going on in the engine shot picture? i first thought it might be a fiddle brake but then as your building a trialer i realised there probably not allowed?
Keep us updated, some really cool engineering going on.
as long as you don't want road legal your be fine, otherwise hydraulic handbrake outlawedYes it is a hydraulic hand brake I have fitted two extra calipers on the rear axle as any hand brake now has to be independent from the service brake.
These aren't molds they are patterns or plugs, I will take molds off them. It seems quite a lot of work but once I have molds if I need a new wing it will be a relatively quick/cheap job to make one.
I am going to make the wings with the same layup and materials as slalom kayaks. I have seen grp wings for sale for about £130 but they don't seem very strong plus if I break them it's another £130, I want to make something suitable for taking the cut through's and tight apex's through bushes on the comp course.
I might even be able to sell a few to recoup some cost.
Hi Owl, great build so far. I may be interested in some front wings off you if you do sell some. I am planning a CCV build but it's just a few parts and a over enthusiastic imagination at the moment.
