Does anyone know what the gas pressure should be for the system? I need to replace the condenser as it's gone porous but in the meantime, going to take the car for a run and need to keep cool for 1 trip!

Its done by weight of refridarent 1040grams iirc, pressure varys as to temperature, if its leeking your waisting your time and money, not a hard job changing condenser got mine of fleebay about £80 and change o rings as well.

Worked well for me:D

Must be cheaper in France Keith. By the time you buy the gas canister then you have to buy the connector it worked out cheaper to go to KF or ATS. KF did mine but it didn't blow cold air so no charge. Turned out to be a bad connection at the duel pressure switch. Cleaned up, all working, happy days.:)

A garage refill here is about £60 with no guarantee. I ordered a DIY kit from the States, came with connectors and pressure gauge, total cost was about £30. The plan was to get a professional re-gas when I was sure it was fixed, but it worked so well I have never bothered:D

ATS were doing it for £29.99 and KF was a bit more. They were on offer, don't know what they charge now. :)

I have the cannister already for other cars I've done. The cost is the cannister itself. If you return it to where you bought it you get a chunk of your cash back.
