Changed the bulb on the auto pushbutton by carefully pulling the outer ring out. Changed the bulb and I can now see the drivers temp up and down arrows and the center auto bit etc.
Only thing is,when the engines running etc,if I press the center auto bit ,the aircon doesnt switch over to auto?
It used to work before I changed the bulb.I think I put it back together, engaging the two black tangs and turning the outer ring until the one wide bit engaaged in the outer rotary bit.
I ddont think i lost any pieses and the two green lugs seem to locate on the two raised white bobbles so to speak.
If any one has any iseas i would be grateful.

when i pull the outer rotary off,the center piece with auto on it comes out with it,I dont think Ive lost any parts but open to advice

Thanks

many thanks wammers,i notice one of the legs is broken.
I thought it was the two white button things that stick out and the two green pegs on the center dial that worked the auto bit?
Am i wrong and it is the two black prongs that operate the switch?
Anyways ,thank you ever so much for replying

Two green pegs are to transmit the light from the bulb. It's the black legs that push the switch, one should be slightly longer than the other. When put back correctly there should be spring pressure against the selector button.
