good morning guys, my partner adjusted the seat so she could drive and we noticed the airbag light has come on. Sometimes it goes and I’ve noticed that if I do not sit on the seat after starting the car it stays off ?

Any advice would be appreciated man thanks.

Car is a 2006 RRS

it will be the connector under the seat. its a common occurence on the P38 so I would think similar on a later model. I switch off, leave for 15 mins, then wiggle connector. keep your head out of the way of the airbag (just in case)

Thank you for the help do you know which connector I’m looking for please ?

Common issue on a lot of cars. The Pug 306s we've had & my eldest's Renaultsport Megane have all done it.
Usually wiggling any underseat connector you can see will cure the issue - as advised by tarphenry - although that may only be until the seat's moved again!
If it doesn't I'd suggest a diagnostic as the Megane's latest episode was a sender on the rear belts which TBH wouldn't have crossed my mind as it only started playing up after I'd moved the driver's seat.

I’ve tried driving from the passenger side but the sticks I’m using for the pedals aren’t quite good enough

My wife manages to drive from the passenger seat.
But only when I'm in the driving seat.

What I have done is get the connector to a suitable position where it doesn't trip the circuit and cable tie it to the seat frame.

I’ve unbolted the seat and tilted it back so I can see the connectors, there is 3 banks of connectors towards the front of the seat, I can see two yellow plugs will it be either of these ?

Yellow plugs are always for SRS, one will be for the seat airbag, the other for the seatbelt pre-tensioner. Ignition off, wait 15 minutes, part and re-make the connectors a few times.

Update *** after trying to find a dodgey connection with no succes I’ve found out I don’t need to be sat in the seat just need to close the drivers door and it will put the air bag light on?

Yes it does, turns out I don’t need to fully close the door for the light to come on, I’ve move the wiring loom for the door in the rubber boot and that also caused it to come on so I guess my problem lies within the door loom

Yes, sounds like a short from a strand of broken wire, might be hard to see.
