Hi ,

I have a 1996 RR DSE the other day when driving the car the rear suspension deflated so I carefully took the car home. Since then I have taken a look at the car and cannot see any obvious faults, and neither is the cars computer listing any ESA faults, The pump seems to be working and so is the height adjustment display on the dash but the car will not rise?

Any ideas are any suggestions for me to try.

Many thanks

Rich.

I suspect that the compressor is tired, not uncommon on older vehicles.

There are no faults logged because as far as the ecu is concerned, the compessor and its wiring are ok as its "working"

There are kits available to repair them but not from land rover, a new compressor from lr is about £300, look on ebay.

Thanks for that info. I just read another post on here that someone else wrote with the same problem. And as you suggested its sounds like the compressor. Do you know of anywhere I can get a comporessor re-furb kit and if so what sort of cost would it be.

Thanks again.

Rich.

Do you have any exhaust leaks ? If the exhaust blows near the joint with the centre box and the tailpipe/s the hot gases melt the plastic pipes that supply the rear air springs.
If you do need a rebuilt compressor I can do one for £105 + vat/Carr - check your exhaust first.
