air spring successs

air springs arrived by airmail from paddocks, only 6 days from ordering, brilliant.
fitted them in no time at all. just as well as sitting in 30 degree heat while doing it with a bad back from building swimming pool lol i dont expect sympathy.
the thing i couldnt get my head around is after cutting the old olive and nut off and pushing the pipe into spring, what holds it in and why no leaks. its like magic

They just work and keep on working. Curiosity is great but sometimes gratitude is better.

By the way, 30°C, building yerself a pool - you're right no sympathy.

gonna be doing my air bags soon. i was also wondering how the pipe was secured as i will also have to cut the oem pipe. i figured it was the same as the plastic pipe connectors that plumbers use for central heating etc. sort of like an `o` ring that only lets the pipe slide one way.
there again i could be way of the mark.

it must be something like that, but it goes in so easy and gets gripped, hard to believe something went so smooth
