Hi everyone reading,
I've bought a new Britpart hose to replace the old ropey thing that draws air to the standard 2.5 n/a cleaner box. A pricey item, I thought, at £25.
However, the thing is pretty inflexible, and it needs to bend at more or less a right angle into the top of the air cleaner box.
Please, can someone talk me through what needs doing, if its not to simply put a kink in the new hose? Partly what was wrong with the old hose (apart from being coated on the inside from road grime), was that the bend in the pipe restricts air flow- it's now 30yrs old and looks quite collapsed before it connects to the box.
I'd appreciate help on the matter, and would rather get prepared with additional part if I need them (such as a 90° bend, in silicone, or something?), before I pull the old hose out...
I have had a look through previous post on here..most are about snorkeling, turbo pipes, or oil breathers..
Thanks in advance.
