Disco 1 Air filter 1000 miles later

Areas you can see are dirty but separate the fins and like new.never had this before just a cheap crap air filter?.

Looks like it may have got damp.
Was the airbox properly closed?

What brand was it?

I had a cheapie on the V8 once and it sucked sections flat just like that, exchanged for a genuine one at no extra cost and never happened again.

IMHO, don't buy cheap filters - there's not enough "goodness" in them to do the job properly, and this is likely to cause issues

Air box was closed also checked the arch linner all snug.air filter was a crosland not my usual choice will get something more quality this time.

Crosland filters where owned by sogefi group better known as fram. name only now owned by euro car parts and source Thier filters from other manufacturers around the world and put it in a crosland box so quality is going to be an issue.so again the world is not what it seems
