i wonder if anyone can give me some advice was driving my 300tdi disco today and under acceleration came a loud pop and a whoosh sounded just like someone had stabbed a tyre with a knife now it wont accelerate as it did and when i do accelerate it whistles it doesnt smoke so im kinda hoping it aint the turbo but any ideas ? im kinda leaning towards the air con letting go somewhere somehow.

air con wont affect acceleration, sounds like a turbo hose has come off, leaking or collapsed.

will check that first thing in the morning thanks, it was just weird how it literally sounded like a tyre being rapidly let down until it faded to nothing if that makes sense some of the hoses have been off as i cleaned the intercooler out the other day and also removed the egr as well so fingers crossed

yer just didnt tighten yer jubilee clips proper... did yer?

you know what yer right well half right i had done em up but one of em was just on the edge of the rigid pipe, bit of engine movement must have just been enough thanks for your help battenberg i was sweatin it hard thinkin something major was wrong how i missed the pipe yesterday i dont know probably cos im a short arse and it was dark lol
