P38A Aftermarket remote p38

Hi is there any way to fit aftermarket remote on p38 without getting the battery to drain ?

The battery drain is probably the rf receiver looking for a signal from the remote key if you fix the original ones so the system works you can then fit a second remote switch between the rf receiver and the becm that will stop all signals getting to the becm and waking the system up cost about £15 or a gen 3 reciever that is about £300
 
I found the 2nd remote to be a bit of a pain (although it worked perfectly) it was just too much junk in my pocket.
Marty's filter @£79.99 was the answer for me, resolved the overall issue and the original fobs all work fine.
Same here, I haven't had an issue since fitting it, marvellous

I removed the receivers years ago when I put aftermarket remote on it the first time
 
Easier to fix the standard remote or set up the BECM to work with just the key blade and no remote.
As standard, the code from the P38 FOB is needed to turn off the immobiliser.
If I make it work with the blade only and install the aftermarket remote would it still drain ?
