Hi, i'v just brought a Defender 90, 1988. it has a few rust issues. the main one im concerned and want to fix is just bellow the front air vent flaps at the front. i think im going to either A. remove the section and weld in a new one or B weld a patch repair to it. im looking for any advice you all could give me as im such a novice but reall want to bring my Landy up to scratch. thanks for reading.

forgive me for posting again, but do these repair panels require welding over the old panels or will i need to remove the old ones completely to start afresh?
