He's fixed loads of cars over his time, and i've fixed my good old Corsa a few times haha.

Don't really wanna buy something thats just gonna stress him constantly though

Landies is perfect stress relief!!

What else can you fix with a hammer??

Haha that's gonna be my excuse when he says its gonna be stressful fixing it a lot.

What are the cars like to drive? I don't know anyone to test drive one.

Would not touch the Ebay one you have linked too. Sounds like a nail. Has had a lot of welding done so chassis probably aint got much life left in it and rear crossmember is covered with chequer plate so that is usually a good indication that it is rotten.
Sounds like you could do with going to test drive one before commiting yourself to buying one as they are not to every ones taste. They are noisy, uncomfortable and pretty **** poor on the motorway but it depends what you want it for. Personally, I would not want anything else and love my 90 - but they do have a lot of bad points. If you want a reliable car that does not need working on and maintaining constantly then you had best listen to your dad!!!
