well my renewal came through just under £750 TPFT:eek:, so did some shopping round and tried Lancaster, they quoted me £475 FC:D

so rang flux to cancel and the best FC they could do was over £1k the best they found was £600+ and only TPFT.:fighting:

No guesses as to where i went.

27, 2 claims:eek:, living in Leeds 300tdi 3door.

However even though I'm FC i cant drive other cars (ie girlfriends) i though all FC policies over 25 covered you for that?

iv got a TPFT policy on my series 2 that allows me to drive cars? weird.

I had the same issue with my car insured FC. I asked the insurance chap and he said no, this is a common misconception, and it is entirely up to the discretion of the underwriters whether they grant you TP cover to drive other vehicles, and it has more to do with your occupation and driving record than owt else, apparently.

All this talk of big prices for insurance makes me glad i moved over here, my 95 disco 300tdi, lifted, winch, snorkel etc etc etc just under 200 quid a year TPFT, fully comp isnt possible though because of age of vehicle but i have full cover on the accessories for a further 30 quid a year, good old rip off Britain strikes again.

i'm only paying £180 fully comp on my Disco with all mods declared and covers me for green laning and off roading.
will never use flux again as they are a waste of space, with frank pickles at present

1982 Series 3 88' - Lancaster FC £120 ! ( I'm 43 and got 4 yrs NCB so that might have something to do with it.. ) Still, result :clap2:

im with lancaster and they are good unless.... you want to cancel also check they have added your extras and the amount of seats ie a military 110 to them is a 2 seater (12 seats fitted) and a 1987 station wagon is a 5 seater (10 seats fitted)

I rang Lancaster, told me im too young (at 23) to insure a disco...
peter best 21+ and quote online. never used 'em, with f pickles at the mo, see what happens at renewal time as they seem to only reinsure certain people.

How the hell did you get 30 bucks knocked off -- said the same , was a member on here and they told me it doesnt matter as the vehicle is too old !!!!! yours is a year older than mine ya git ........
