Hi. Ive recently been quoted £492 to renew my Adrian Flux insurance. This seems far too high - Im 46 and have never claimed insurance or had an accident. Also ive got a bog standard, no mods, 2002 110 hardtop.

Tratters are a big target for thieves. Yer need alarms, immobilisers, safe parking, wheel locks etc.

My recent quote from Adrian Flux is 114 pounds fully comp! With breakdown and 100,000 pound legal protection! Under Classic insurance limited to 2000 miles per annum (which is more than enough) and must be garaged at night! I'm even insured abroad for 90 days! So its free tax as well on my Historic Landy, I'm REALLY chuffed. Regards. Chris:D

Could one of your team have a look at my policy and advise me what the cost would be insurance to change my engine from the naturally aspirated struggler to a 200 or 300tdi engine?

Would be done by a proper garage not a home bodge job.

Just wanted to say a public thank you for your part in resolving the situation. Was getting to the point where we were both going to cut our noses off and cancel both policies as we were so angry but a new day and a new person and a completely different approach and we're both still with flux , many many thanks for your intervention :)

I wanted to write my experience with AF, which was pretty dreadful to be honest. Dealing with a girl that just talked over me constantly. She was pushy, rude and had no clue whatsoever about modified cars. I honestly can't tell you how much this girl annoyed me.
First time insuring this defender 90 1989. It has GPS tracking and an alarm and disclock. I'm 43 with no bumps, claims etc. I was quoted £480 a year.
I bought my insurance from Heritage in the end, for £173 inc legal etc. I have an individual account manager that I always deal with, no call centre and I have his direct line. He understood completely about modified cars. Happy Days.
