Adding an aux input

If you are prepared to do without the CD changer (which I wasn't!) there are several more options. For example, there are adapters made by GROM ( Products by SKU ), which plug into the back of the Alpine radio where the CD changer is connected and can then be operated by the steering wheel controls AND can give you Ipod, Iphone, Android phone, Bluetooth connectivity etc.. I have no experience of using them but I expect someone on here will have.

Nice find! Sad that this is only for older P38 otherwise I would have definitively give this a look!

I really want to keep the cds its nice for shorter journeys where it is not worth to connect my phone... looks like a good bit of kit tho

Apparently you can plug both your phone and a USB Thumb-drive. For shorter trip just let the USB Thumb-drive in it.
