I'm definitely addicted to V8's but not as much as these guys!

Not the best video (a mates daughter was in charge of the camera) but you get the idea. [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LywjycGSRT8"]YouTube - NASC Nats cruise 2009 in a 32 ford[/nomedia]
That was a year ago with the old 3.5 on open headers. Now a 4.2 from an LSE Rangie, with a couple of mods, cam, Edelbrock carb etc.

Love V8's, over the years I've owned, 3 P5B's,Chrysler Valiant,a 540i, and now me 4.6 Vogue, love it.

Was back in the 80's, I was working on the M25, one of the lads needed a quick sale, so I bought it, I think it had a 3.8 IIRC, was a bit of a dog tho, a third of a turn play on the steering, but you got used to it! had just 1 CHERRY BOMB exiting in front of rear wheel each side, sounded nice!

Here is my chevy 6.3 stroker in the raw - before going back in the defender

started off as a 5.7 4-bolt

.030 overbore, eagle stroker kit, , edelbrock top end - heads, cam, etc.

On dyno pulls made 380 bhp and 450 lbs torque.

enjoy

Fell in love with a 455ci pontiac firebird near me when I was 13, wanted a v8 since.
If you love v8s get to santa pod in your lifetime and stand near a top fuel motor being cranked on gas then switching to nitro, very special times.

7.2L (440ci) GM big block, same as the Charger six pack I think, comes with a riser, air scoop, edelbrock carb and two inlet manifolds

415bhp at 4700 rpm and 480ft/lbs at 3500rpm so plenty of torque but I'd probably put in a cam thats better at low revs

Now considering the Rover 3.5 is

169 hp at 5,200 rpm and 210 lb/ft at 2,600 rpm the big block blows it out the water!
