I have a 1990 classic 3.9 v8 and a bmw 540i 4.0 v8 so Yes you could say I am addicted!:doh:

If I include the wifes car we have 20 cylinders and and 600 bhp on the drive lol!
 
Hi, I'm glad I found this poll, looks like I'm not the only one then.

I have had 8 or 9 V8's over the last 30 odd years (depends on how you count!) :confused:

3 x rover SD1 V8's
2 x Range Rover Classics (1 x 2 door and 1 x 4 door which I converted from 3.5 carb to 3.9 EFi - so that is 3 engines)
3 x P38 Vogue 4.6

Now I'm looking for a 110 Station Wagon V8, preferably with a ZF 4 speed Auto gearbox (rare as hens teeth I know) or I'll convert one myself, :hysterically_laughi if I ever find the time that is.

you sure your system lpg system doesn't use sensors for reference as many systems do.
Also all systems with pre cat lambda sensors and no post cat lambda sensors-will not notice failed/missing cat.

If you were to leave the lambda sensors in and remove the cats there should be still satisfactory back pressure with standard exhaust so as not to upset lambda sensor readings.

Standard cars do not like zero back pressure and it causes rich/lean swings-major back pressure changes would require custom map and will decrease performance without.

That said the ax I sold sounded nice straight through-but readings all over the place before replacing back box.
 
not sure about the lpg needing sensors its a single point system and ive have been lead to believe it dunt need sensors

What make is the control unit on your gas system, pretty sure you will need lambda sensors on all, but the redneck carb/lpg setup I have.

As I said before if no post cat sensors in system then it will not know if they are working or not.

Also consider that the ecu trims the fuel with lambda feedback.
So if you wished to run a decat system on petrol you wouldn't want to set it with fixed resistors as you would run rich/lean on standard map

I'm considering 400 hp v8 quad cam twin turbo-must be a loony
 
my first v8 was a 7.4 chevy lump in my boat an it sings with 4" pipes straight from the manifold and no silencers. next 1 is in the disco av just bought a week ago sounds nice but feeln a nice stainless system on it to give it a nice sound
 
I have 3 cars with an average cylinder count of 6.666
Guess that means one of them is missing half of its engine. ;)
