I have been prepping my Disco 2 (2003) to go to Malawi (Central Africa). Part of the work I have done is to completely remove the ACE and replace it with set of non-ACE roll bars. Everything has gone well.
However, the one problem I can't seem to resolve is switching off the ACE warning light on the dashboard. I have a HawkEye and have tried clearing all the DTCs associated with the ACE, but they come back the minute they have been cleared. I have removed the two accelerometers, but still the light remains on. I've tried taking the multiplug out of the ACE ECU, but the light still comes on and the HawkEye cannot access the ACE system (obviously).
My question is this: How do I disable the electronic side of the ACE system and extinguish the warning light permanently? I have a HawkEye v5, but cannot seem to find out where I can tell the system that ACE is not installed?
Any help greatly appreaciated.
