Just to make you happy diagnostics. More than likely pressure switch fault. Switch has a few functions switches ABS pump on at low pressure, TC lamp off at minimum operating pressure and ABS pump off at full pressure.

Thanks wammers! Was going towards the pressure switch next, 2nd hand pump assembly I thought??

Oh well have to wait till Saturday now when me diagnostics man is free!!

update on this weekends struggles!

checked all supply to sensors all good.
checked all relays all good.

checked abs ecu all looks ok except there was no reading at pin 1 which could relate to earlier diagnostic fault (No voltage at ECU Pin 1 when ignition on), question is should there be a voltage at pin 1???

also checked the abs pump switch connector and it has 5 pins anyone got any diagrams for this or any way of checking the switch to see if its faulty?

thanks as always

tony

Thanks for that ,did not realise that.

They are all in there. But whether you can get to petrol other systems going in through EDC or vice versa i don't know. You certainly can't get to petrol CC by going in through EDC it's not listed as an option.

UPDATE

had diagnostics read again tonight and only one fault showing as follows

1,2,3 pressure warning switch

take it the pressure switch on the pump is goosed then???

hi , I have today after the usual top advice from my good friend wammers taken my car for diagnostic check , as I was on way down to caravan and heard a bad sound i.e brd brd brd rd from what I thought was underneath the car it happens when I put foot down on pedal to speed up a bit .then only repeats as I put foot down again ,,,,anyway as I said top man wammers pointed to abs sensors or sensor switch and after diagnostic test its the abs sensor switch !!!! under the bonnet so will await delivery of one . having read your thread I though this may help you .... my fault was identified on obd II now I know pete and simon quite well over at landranger at stockport and I think their diagnostic machine is a very very expensive piece of kit AUTO-LOGIC ,and you would have thought that it would have shown that it is the sensor switch ,very strange that one ???????? so a big thanks to my remedial guru wammers ,, as always on the ball !!!!!!! thanks pal ,,kind regards mozz:):):):)
