Abandoned Vogue

Good afternoon everyone, registered here as a bit of a long shot... so long story short, there's a Land Rover Vogue that's been abandoned in my shared secure car park for about 8 months now. It used to 'belong' to a neighbour who got evicted by his landlords back in February. He acquired it during the course of his work at the time as a bailiff/debt collector. He would normally have around half a dozen vehicles at any one time on trade plates waiting collection. I think he may have kept this vehicle and at least one other (a convertible BMW) as payment. He drove this Vogue for at least 3 months, so acquired it around October 2018 He hasn't been back for it, and given he was evicted for non-payment of rent and the new residents have received countless court orders addressed to him, it's safe to assume he's done a runner. And because of the location of the abandonment (private secure land) the council, police etc are unable to do anything. The Association that rent out the property are not interested either. The Vogue is untaxed, uninsured and as of last week, without an MOT. I don't know who or what it's registered to.
It needs gone. I'm posting here on the off-chance that an unlucky former owner may have a one in a million long shot at being reunited with his/her's repossessed vehicle, or failing that, anyone in need of a source of parts and/or trim for a project willing to take it away for breaking? The tyres have all gone flat from being stood still for so long, but other than that it's condition seems fine.... and the internal trim looks stunning, very lavish and high end... even if someone took it just to switch out the interior.... please feel free to ask any questions

Vogue is a trim.

Although must say makes a change from calling an L322 a vogue

I am sure many on here would love too take it away........BUT

Without paperwork and permission from owner. I believe they call that theft

I’d love to take it on but without paperwork no chance

If he’s gone report it untaxed they will take it away (if it’s on public property ; he may move it slightly one night )

I can arrange free of charge collection and give you a business receipt for it.

Prob one of these nightmare neighbour scenario's, no-one can do anything about it sitting there
& the owner has went on holiday then comes back signs up on Lz says my rangie has been nicked.

A recovery truck could pick that up and put it on the road side where the police would be interested. Relatively cheap anorl.

Try DVLA if it is not SORN they will be sending him fines if they are sending them to that address and he no longer lives then maybe have a word with the people in the flat now to see if they have had any thing from DVLA, or if never registered in his name they might be able to contact the registered owner to let them know where the car is, or police will contact them if you say it has been left there and is not SORN it is breaking the law

Need permission to sorn on private property, which he won’t have. They will take it away

Re-reading this, the whole thing seems dodgy. It was 'acquired' , 'belonged', 'may have kept', 'abandoned' , etc, etc. If there weren't so many inverted commas, I'd pipe up with how to obtain V5 , but I'm afraid I wouldn't touch this with someone else's , not even to advise.

Years ago, my dopey brother took on a car with a similar story, it was a mk 3 cortina glx. Him and his mate were pushing it from one place to another when the old bill turned up and started asking questions. It turned out to have been stolen several months before and kept in a rickety Shed on private land until the land owner evicted the shed renter and wanted the motor gone. My Brother was charged with handling stolen goods and did 3 months.

i'm sorry you feel that way, the use of inverted commas was to distinguish what is the most likely and obvious description in the absence of indisputable fact.
Like to point out in response to other comments, i'm not looking to make any money off this! Just want the thing gone. Have since discovered the Association that owns the property the guy used to rent is actually a trading business of a neighbouring Council, so I have approached my local councillors about what can be done... irony not lost on the fact the council, DVLA, police and ground management company are all locked in an eternal cycle of 'their responsibility' can-kicking...
I'll state again, posting here i hoped to somehow reach the former owner who had it repossessed, or appeal to someone not worried about the legalities for something they could take away and break for lucrative parts and spares.

Getting the vehicle transferred into your name, is quite simple. DVLA will tell you how. Want to guess how I know?
Which means you can send it to the scrappy to get rid. Or go to a site where you can sell it. There is no need for inverted commas, cloak and dagger, convoluted story.
Otherwise get it towed out of your private parking and report it as abandoned on highwayl
Again simple.
