Having recently returned to the Disco fraternity after a 5 year stint with just a Freelander I have various questions and the first is this.

My Dad had a P38a many years ago and as such that's my only experience of air suspension but I don't remember it well enough to answer my own question.

My 2004 Disco has been parked up for 4 days and is now sitting quite lop sided. How much should they normally drop when parked up and would they normally drop evenly on both sides? I certainly don't recall the Range Rover ever standing on the p#ss like this.

I've attached photos of each rear wheel to show the difference.

I've noticed this imbalance before but have never left it for this long before to drop this low. I know it'll level up OK when I start it later. Just been using the Freelander for a few days otherwise it's my daily car.

It's still under warranty if anything needs checking out.

Sorry if this is a stooopid question with nothing untoward.

(Forgive the dead tumble dryer en route to the tip:eek:).

Many thanks for any advice.

+1 on the air bags. Inflate in off road mode and try spraying soapy water on the bags to see if you can see the leak (like testing a push bike inner tube). They usualy go on the fold over due to muck getting in and abrading them. Need to get done asap to avoid burning the compressor out. Also worth checking for leaks in the pipework and that the ride height sensors are attached.
Think you'll find it the bags though - done both of mine and you're still under waranty too.

Thanks Johnlad and Landmark2

Will will check for leaks and ensure the sensors are attached over the weekend.

Is it advisable to replace airbags in pairs?

+1 on the bags, but don't overlook the valve block in the pump compartment. These can start to let air leak back. Take the pipe off that goes to the pump and put some soapy water on the end to see.

An update:

I decided to fit two new OE airbags following one of the superb DIY guides available and all is good again! :):):)
