Hey everyone name is Jackson am a uni student in the deep south of NZ decided I wanted to be able to get a little further off the beaten track than me lowered VW Squareback would allow so this gave way me acquiring Hugh my 76 Swb hardtop series 3. anyway fast forward to lastThursdayy and this happend
so after a good water blast and clean out i got him looking like this
he has a solid chassis just a few spots of rust in the firewall which I have spent the last couple of days dealing to the passengers side issues and onto the drivers next
floor taking shape
and spent today sorting a rusty bent part where the check strap attaches gave it hell with hammers and a 2500kg truck strop and went from this
to this
anyway this thread will be updated nightly over the next two weeks and then go dead as i go back to uni until the next uni break as i can only work on it when i am home
the VW if anybody is interested was my first car project
